Take Care

_{hey guys, I'm not dead somehow.}

Inspired very heavily by the Drake/Rihanna song, Take Care  a song that I love completely and utterly, and still love despite listening to it almost nonstop while working on this drawing since last night. xD It's one of my favorite love songs, maybe because I can't think of another one like it, one that is so afraid and sad and frustrated yet tender and loving all at once, and aaaaahIloveit.  

I was also inspired by the actual music video while working on this, mainly the pose which was eyeballed from some of the shots and the limited color palate. I didn't want to go black and white, instead option for a 7 color palate consisting maninly of the colors I associate with the two characters here: blue for Blane, yellow for Alanna. It works on an unintentional emotional level too, since this is all about emotional conflict, and yellow is typically associated with joy while blue is associated with sadness. 

I realized while working on this that I don't really have many romantic pairings for my characters. xD Like I thought about doing Blane and Chantal, but I realized I actually wanted to do a romantic couple and I don't really have those, at least not super official ones. But I kind of ship these two together, and hey, their Miis are married in Tomodachi Life, so works for meeeeee.
